I am Jewish. Again, I am ashamed by Jewish Cleveland. The Jewish Federation of Cleveland is Israel’s foremost agent locally. Jewish Federations are unequivocally Zionist and more accurately practice Israelism, not Judaism. Federations are the local defenders of Israel’s war crimes and try to push anyone who acknowledges Israel’s Gaza genocide out of civic life.
Jewish Cleveland’s May 27 social media post features a picture of a child, and expresses “warm wishes to those observing Eid al-Adha.” Jewish Cleveland is trying to Eid-wash their support for genocide. Jewish Cleveland is mocking Muslims who have lost family and friends to the Genocide they defend. On that very day Israel bombed a Gaza City apartment killing at least ten Palestinians, five of whom were children, and wounding 18 more. The previous day Israeli air strikes on Gaza City killed three and wounded 24. They also bombed the al-Maghazi refugee camp killing five Palestinians, including a journalist. Never mind the “ceasefire.”
Israel also released a joint U.S. plan to give Zionists control over al-Aqsa, the third holiest site in Islam. Jewish Cleveland will not object to any of these Zionist Israeli war crimes, which proves their social media gesture is empty and hollow. Embarrassing!
Note: This was submitted 4 weeks ago to the Cleveland Plain Dealer as a letter to the editor but was not published. The opinions expressed are those of the writer, though Cleveland Peace Action does assert that Israel’s actions in Gaza constitute genocide.
